In my own personal mission to stretch the family budget, I've been wanting to explore using natural non-toxic methods of cleaning.
Apart from the obvious potential health and eco benefits, they save heaps. Haven't you noticed how much more expensive your trip to the supermarket is when it's week you need to get washing powder, shower cleaner, mould killer, window cleaner ... the list goes on.
I sort of new the bicarb soda and white vinegar figured pretty large in the natural cleaning arsenal but I wasn't quite sure how to use it exactly or where. I have been tuning in spasmodically to Lush House on TV which features the wonderful Shannon Lush. I am yet to get around to visiting the website or get a hold of one of her books written with Jennifer Fleming: Spotless, Spotless2 or Speed Cleaning.
Imagine how happy I was to discover Rhonda's Down to Earth blog thanks to Blog Chicks. She describes it as: ``a blog about living simply and being content and fulfilled doing that''. Apart from interesting things about gardening, baking bread, making preserves and the like, there is a whole section on recipes for green cleaning.
I'll tell you how I go - with the cleaning and saving money.

Oh goodness, didn't you read those drillions of Alan Hayes columns we published?
I will be interested to read more about this because I hate chemicals and I hate spending money..
